MobiMate Releases PhoneMate for iPAQ

Phone Book Search Software Now Available for the Pocket PC Platform

MobiMate has announced today the release of MobiMate's PhoneMate(TM) application for the Pocket-PC based iPAQ(TM). This is the first product released by MobiMate for the Pocket PC / Windows CE platform.

PhoneMate is a highly innovative user interface for searching and using a PDA's address book, allowing the user to search the address book using one hand instead of a stylus, and then dial, beam or edit a contact. PhoneMate supports direct communications with IR equipped phones (e.g. most GSM phones). Bluetooth is also supported on some platforms. PhoneMate has been available for the Palm OS platform since March 2001, and has been praised by its users as "the most useful application for the PDA."

"By taking PhoneMate to the Pocket PC platform, we are affirming our wider commitment to mobile devices beyond just Palm OS, as well as taking this product a step further," said Nadav Gur, MobiMate's CEO. "PhoneMate belongs in any PDA or Smart-Phone, and we are continuing to enrich its functionality and introduce it to both converged and classic devices."
