Red-M Launches in Japan; Company Brings Award-Winning Products and Technology to Major Mobile Market

Red-M(TM), a leading supplier of advanced Bluetooth(TM) networking product solutions, today announced the creation of a new Japanese subsidiary located in Tokyo.

Red-M aims to capitalize on the strong demand for mobile communications in Japan with its leading-edge hardware and software technology that enables the delivery of 3rd generation network services over unlicensed band technologies. Red-M products include the 3000AS access server, 1000 AP access points and Blade, a Bluetooth clip-on.

Take up of next generation mobile services in Japan has been rapid, led by NTT DoCoMo's innovative iMODE service. Several Bluetooth integrated devices are already available from numerous Japanese retailers. Red-M is keen to support service providers in the region, that are planning to deploy wireless "hotspots" in public areas in response to the demand for easy access to wireless data.

Red-M's CEO Mike Wilson commented: "Bringing Red-M's products and technology to Japan is a strategic move for us. Red-M's products will be demonstrated at the Bluetooth pavilion and on Fujitsu's stand at World PC Expo, 19th - 22nd September; and at CEATEC in Hall 7, booth number 7AO2 from 2nd - 5th October also held at Makuhari Messe (Nippon Convention Center).
