ArcSoft, Inc., a leading digital imaging technology services and software provider to Fortune 500 companies, today announced ArcSoft PhotoBase(TM) for Pocket PC. With the new program, designed for both Windows Powered Pocket PC 2002, launched today, and Windows CE 3.0, users can manage albums of images, share photos via infrared beaming between devices and email photos wirelessly. Pocket PC 2002 is the next-generation software for personal digital assistant (PDA) technology from Microsoft Corp. ArcSoft PhotoBase for Pocket PC 2002 is currently shipping to major licensing partners and will be available to consumers in Q4 2001.

ArcSoft PhotoBase for Pocket PC is fully compatible with the desktop version of PhotoBase, but does not require a desktop component. The program includes basic editing capabilities, including rotating, zooming, color correcting and more; as well as the ability to view images as a slide show. Users can select the draw feature to title or draw directly on their images using a stylus.
ArcSoft PhotoBase for Pocket PC will retail for $29.99 and will be available at www.arcsoft.com. ArcSoft is a Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 launch partner and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.
