AvantGo and Stellent Team to Deliver Office Documents as Part of AvantGo M-Business Solution

Solution Enables Office Documents to be Viewed on Any Mobile Device

October 30, 2001

AvantGo, Inc., (Nasdaq:AVGO), the leading provider of mobile enterprise software, and Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL), a global provider of enterprise content management solutions, today announced they have agreed to integrate Stellent's Outside In(R) Wireless Attachment Server with the AvantGo(R) M-Business Server. The product offering will greatly increase the productivity of mobile professionals by making fully formatted versions of office documents, presentation files and spreadsheets -- complete with embedded graphics -- available on their PalmOS, Microsoft PocketPC or BlackBerry Wireless Handheld(TM).

When a user receives an email attachment or accesses a link to a file on a Web or intranet site, the Wireless Attachment Server dynamically renders the content for the AvantGo Client, and the M-Business Server streams the document to the wireless device.

"Seamlessly delivering a broad range of existing office documents to mobile devices greatly increases the value of mobile devices to both corporations and individuals," said Mike Aufricht, AvantGo's Chief Marketing Officer. "For mobile and wireless users who are away from their desks, the combined AvantGo and Stellent solution provides an exceptional end-user experience with full access to office application files in the mobile environment."

"The Outside In Wireless Attachment Server advances our mission to enable software developers to provide information access for their enterprise users anytime and anywhere," said Scott Norder, president of Stellent's Software Components Division. "We are pleased to partner with AvantGo to provide conversion functionality for the M-Business Server, significantly improving the effectiveness of mobile computing."
