Casio and Sierra Wireless Team to Deliver Wireless Connectivity for PDA Users

Wireless Modems to Power Casio's New CASSIOPEIA Pocket Manager BE-300 and Pocket PC E-200

Casio and Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ:SWIR)(TSE:SW.), announced today that they are working together to deliver numerous wireless solutions to the mobile user.

The agreement involves the development of Sierra Wireless AirCard wireless modems to support the new CASSIOPEIA BE-300 and the recently introduced E-200 Pocket PC 2002 model. Sierra Wireless will also continue to work closely with Casio to ensure that the wireless technologies are integrated with other Casio Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). The agreement names Sierra Wireless as the exclusive provider of CDMA and GPRS PC Card wireless modem products for Casio in North America.

The collaboration provides an important benefit to PDA users who demand increased efficiency and effectiveness while away from the office. The CASSIOPEIA Pocket Manager BE-300 and the Pocket PC E-200 are both examples of Casio's emphasis on expandability and wireless connectivity. The Sierra Wireless AirCard modems will enable business users to securely access critical corporate information through wireless connectivity to a host of applications including e-mail and corporate networks. Wireless ISP services required and sold separately. The result will be a complete wireless solution for the corporate mobile worker.
