Circata Introduces Exellar 2.0 - The First Low Cost, Easy-to-Use, Extendable Mobility Platform for the Enterprise

Circata Corporation today announced the public availability of the Circata Exellar(TM) 2.0 Mobility Platform, the next version of its robust framework that empowers enterprises to easily design, deploy, and maintain customized mobile business applications. The Exellar(TM) technology was built using Circata's patent-pending "Multiple Application Processing Engine" (MAPE) technology. The MAPE technology allows the Exellar server platform to run on any operating system, including Linux and Solaris. Circata provides their innovative Wireless Web technology and services in the form of software developer kits (SDKs) for both solution providers and enterprise clients.

Wireless devices represent the most widespread medium for communication in the U.S. Over 35 million workers have jobs that require mobility, including business travelers, truck drivers, utility workers, health care providers, insurance claims adjusters and police officers. Wireless access to corporate portals can be used to facilitate email, database functions, access to office applications and customer service. Circata is an ideal solution for thousands of companies and solutions providers who are moving to the Wireless Web -across every vertical market.

Companies that have not yet adopted wireless applications are primarily concerned about cost. Circata's customers have already experienced an early ROI - in terms of revenue, productivity, customer acquisition and retention - and most importantly, they have the competitive advantage over companies who have not yet gone wireless.

For example, ADC, a global leader in broadband communications, will be implementing Circata's technology to enable its sales force -located in more than 130 countries - to access a central database that gives tracking numbers, order status and delivery dates, all with a wireless device. ADC selected Circata's technology primarily on the basis of flexibility, scalability and simplicity of integration. The Exellar technology will enable ADC's vendors, customers and employees to access business critical information remotely using wireless devices ranging from cell phones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), two-way pagers and other Web-enabled mobile devices.

Customization is Key

Circata's Wireless Web software uses an interactive Graphic User Interface (GUI) to design and deploy customized mobile business applications, including CRM, ERP, EDI, SCM, SRM and document management interfaces; e-mail and instant messaging; alert systems; mCommerce and ASP enabling systems; advertising, IP Telephony VoIP, and GPS-based technologies and virtually any permission based content delivery.

"Customization is given high priority at Circata," said Matt Mahmood, founder and COO of Circata. "We make sure that our servers are tailored to our customer's requirements and needs to be 100-percent efficient in production. Exellar provides a perfect solution for device independent Web access by addressing the unique needs of the growing wireless server market."

An effective wireless Internet application requires a high degree of customization to overcome the limited screen and keyboard input sizes of the device. The centerpiece of the Exellar Server Platform is the user identity module, which allows the user to create and update a personal profile through the wireless device or a Web browser. The user profile contains preferences for pushed content, authentication, and navigation simplifying and improving the usability of the application.
