Stellent(TM), Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL), a global provider of enterprise content management solutions formerly named IntraNet Solutions, announced today an expanded relationship with Compaq Computer Corporation, a leading global provider of enterprise technology and solutions, to include the Stellent Quick View Plus(R) document viewing application in the new Compaq iPAQ(TM) Pocket PC operating on Microsoft's Pocket PC 2002 platform.
The Stellent Quick View Plus application enables users to view documents and attachments on Windows CE-based mobile devices, without having to access the native application. By deploying Quick View Plus on the iPAQ Pocket PC, Compaq offers customers access to business information on their handheld devices through high fidelity views of documents in more than 70 popular business file formats.
"Stellent's Quick View Plus, coupled with the enterprise connectivity features of Pocket PC 2002, provides iPAQ Pocket PC users with access to critical information retrieved from a corporate network, downloaded from an Internet connection or received as an email attachment," said Cindy Box, Compaq's director of marketing, iPAQ Mobile Solutions. "With support for more than 70 file formats, Quick View Plus ensures our users have their information available to them at any given time, in any given place."
To support the iPAQ Pocket PC's global market, Stellent has also developed versions of its Quick View Plus application in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional and Japanese. In addition, Stellent customized the application for the iPAQ so users may select which of the more than 70 file formats they would like installed on their device.
