Ex-Palm Master Architect Hired as CTO and VP Engineering At ACCESS Systems America

Wireless guru Chung Liu has joined ACCESS Systems America as CTO and VP of Engineering. ACCESS Systems America (ASA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of ACCESS Co., Ltd., Japan, a leading provider of embedded software solutions for Internet appliances.

Prior to joining ASA, Chung Liu was Master Architect at Palm Inc, where he was responsible for technology and architecture for wireless Internet services including the Palm.net MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operation) and MyPalm mobile portal. Prior to Palm, Liu was a senior systems analyst for wireless operator Maxitel (Telecom Italia Mobile) in Brazil, where he gained extensive experience with CCBS (Customer Care and Billing System) wireless infrastructure. Earlier in his career, he held a senior engineering position at Geoworks where he was responsible for the architectural design and software project management of communication modules for the GEOS-SC operating system.
