Extended Systems (Nasdaq:XTND), a leading provider of mobile data management and wireless connectivity solutions, today announced that the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has qualified Extended Systems' Bluetooth software development kit for Microsoft Windows CE, Pocket PC and Handheld PC operating systems.
Extended Systems has now pre-qualified its entire suite of software development kits in compliance with version 1.1 of the Bluetooth SIG specification.
"Microsoft's handheld operating systems provide an excellent platform for a growing number of mobile user applications in corporate and industrial environments," said Extended Systems Director of Marketing Don Baumgartner. "Developers need a way to bring Bluetooth technology to new and existing mobile devices. By using Extended Systems certified development kit, they can accomplish this task quickly and cost-effectively for a broad range of CE-based devices."
