Interactive Intelligence Inc.'s (Nasdaq:ININ) first wireless application gateway product called Mobilite(TM) will support Windows Powered Pocket PC 2002 Software, Microsoft's latest version of software for personal digital assistants launched on Oct. 4, 2001.

Interactive Intelligence, a member of Microsoft's Mobile Solutions Partner Program, plans to release Mobilite in early Q4 2001. Mobilite will be available to millions of Pocket PC 2002 users as a premier product that utilizes the benefits of the Windows Powered Pocket PC platform.

Interactive Intelligence designed Mobilite to give enterprises a faster and easier way to develop, deploy and maintain mobile applications for popular PDA devices. Mobilite enables mobile users to access corporate databases, mainframe systems, customer relationship management applications, LDAP directories and other communications and IT systems.

Mobilite runs on the Windows 2000 server and provides connectivity to Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft MSMQ and Microsoft Internet Information Server.

Microsoft's Pocket PC 2002 includes a more customizable interface, a new Terminal Services client application, additional wireless connectivity options, enhanced security and many new features designed for business users and corporations.

"Developing mobile computing solutions is new to many organizations," Andy Haon, Microsoft's director of product planning, said. "Mobilite by Interactive Intelligence helps companies rapidly deploy Pocket PC-based solutions that increase productivity by getting vital information into the hands of mobile users wherever and whenever they need it."

Brown, president and chief executive officer for Interactive Intelligence, said. "Mobilite's unique gateway approach, in conjunction with its tight integration to Microsoft's secure, reliable and feature-rich Pocket PC, gives enterprises everything they need for a complete yet cost-effective mobile communications solution."
