Motorola, Crisp Wireless and zipRealty Demonstrate Mobile Real Estate Solution

October 30, 2001

Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), Crisp Wireless and zipRealty today announced a mobile application designed to improve the productivity of mobile real estate professionals by helping them schedule client meetings and manage leads more efficiently. This solution will be demonstrated in Motorola's booth (#18021) at the National Realtor Show in Chicago November 2-4.

The Wireless Extension application, which was developed by Crisp Wireless for zipRealty's mobile workforce, allows the real estate brokerage firm to manage client appointments and avoid losing clients due to schedule conflicts. For example, if a client requests a visit with an agent to make an offer on a property, but the agent is not available at the requested time, the request is automatically forwarded to another agent.

"Crisp Wireless developed this application for zipRealty on Motorola handsets to meet the specific needs of zipRealty's agents and their clients," said Peter Aloumanis, vice president of Motorola and director of U.S. market operations for the company's iDEN(R) Subscriber Group. "This is a real-world example of how Motorola's application upgradeable phones can improve productivity for mobile professionals."

"This application helps our real estate agents stay productive and efficient, even if they are at a property or at a client's office," said Eric Danziger, president and chief executive officer of zipRealty. "Now, our agents can spend less time in the office scheduling client appointments and more time in the field selling properties."

"The zipRealty Wireless Extension provides Crisp Wireless the opportunity to implement Java(TM) technology in a practical business application today," said Jonathan Kim, chief executive officer of Crisp Wireless. "The application helps zipRealty agents to meet their needs for true mobility by providing a mobile assistant to manage client meetings and improve customer service."
