Intellisync(R) Retail And Enterprise-Class Software Upgrades To Provide Connectivity And Synchronization Of Corporate Data To New Devices
Pumatech, Inc. (Nasdaq:PUMA), a leading provider of enterprise-level software products and services that deliver highly relevant information wherever and whenever it's needed, today unveiled plans to support Microsoft's Pocket PC 2002 platform with new versions of its Intellisync(R) synchronization software products. Over the next 90 days, Pumatech will begin introducing new versions of its Intellisync desktop and server-based synchronization software that will allow Pocket PC 2002 users to keep important personal and business-related information such as calendars, contacts, email and proprietary company data updated between a desktop PC or enterprise database and the device.

The next 90 days will mark the beginning of a gradual rollout of upgrades by Pumatech for the desktop and server versions of its Intellisync software product family. Pumatech's forthcoming server software upgrades will also include Windows CE/Pocket PC-based attachment support for Microsoft Exchange and Outlook and Lotus Notes. In addition, Pumatech is planning to extend support for Pocket PC 2002 to future releases of its Browse-it(TM) Web rendering and browsing software.
Microsoft's Pocket PC 2002 software will power the next generation Pocket PCs. With increased device security, corporate network access capabilities and access to remote servers, Microsoft's new software makes the Pocket PC a leading device for the enterprise. Hardware manufacturers that are expected to ship new Pocket PC 2002 devices include Compaq, HP, Casio, Toshiba, Symbol and Mitsubishi.
