QUALCOMM Announces Shipment of Over 400,000 OmniTRACS Units

QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), the leader in mobile communications for the transportation industry, today announced it has shipped over 400,000 OmniTRACS(R) mobile communications system units. The OmniTRACS system successfully provides satellite-based two-way data messaging, automatic vehicle positioning, and complete dispatch and back-office integration capabilities.

With the introduction of OmniExpress(R), a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)-based digital wireless communications and tracking system, along with other industry-leading technologies, QUALCOMM continues to expand into new mobile markets. QUALCOMM continues to set the industry standard, with a Network Management Center that processes more than seven million transactions each day.
