Telia Launches GPRS-service in Finland

Telia launches the first GPRS-service in Finland which will allow the Finnish customers the opportunity to stay connected to Internet via mobile phones while only paying for the amount of data they send and receive.

"It's very pleasing that Telia is the first Nordic operator to offer GPRS in Norway, Sweden and now also Finland. With our GPRS-service in Finland Telia is broadening its product portfolio which will definitively pave the way for next generations mobile communication," says Kenneth Karlberg, Vice President Telia AB and Head of Business Area Telia Mobile.
