Ultimus, the leading Web-based workflow automation software provider, today introduced Ultimus Wireless Workflow. An added capability to Version 5.0 of the Ultimus Workflow Suite, Ultimus Wireless Workflow leverages Thin Client/Thin Forms to deliver workflow beyond the physical enterprise, enabling the mobile workforce to participate in an organization's key business processes via wireless devices. The wireless capability builds upon the company's award-winning, feature-rich Ultimus Workflow Suite, which offers a complete, Internet-enabled solution for business process automation at the industry's lowest total cost of ownership.

Announced earlier this year, the Ultimus Workflow Suite Version 5.0 extends workflow automation beyond the enterprise to deliver real-time business process interoperability between companies and third parties. Key to Version 5.0 is its improved support of pure HTML-powered, lightweight Thin Client/Thin Forms that are ideal for cross platform applications, and the basis of the Ultimus Wireless Workflow. While standard Thick Clients require Internet Explorer and can only run on the Windows Desktop, Thin Clients/Thin Forms can operate on any HTML browser as well as any hardware or operating system. As a result of this capability, Ultimus Wireless Workflow enables companies with remote users, partners, suppliers and customers to participate in the workflow process from any PDA, laptop or handheld that is wireless enabled and has an HTML browser, thus extending the benefits of workflow automation.
