3e Technologies International Inc., also known as AEPTEC Microsystems, Inc., presents the new 3eTI Model 520 Wireless Gateway at this year's Comdex Show in Las Vegas, NV. Designed for the residential and Small office/Home office (SOHO) markets, the Model 520 is today's wireless networking solution allowing maximum flexibility and mobility.
The 3eTI Model 520 Wireless Gateway offers the most complete set of features and options compared to other commercially available gateways and access points. The Model 520 provides flexible networking options including Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) WAN and LAN ports, wireless (both IEEE 802.11b and Bluetooth supported), and phone line networking (HomePNA). A USB port is available to connect a variety of peripherals. The integrated print server enables shared printer access for everyone on the network. 3eTI even provides an infrared port to HotSync your Palm OS-based Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).
3eTI understands that the SOHO user requires quick and simple installation, and the gateway was built for this requirement. However, powerful management tools are also included for the more experienced power users. Fast and flexible networking is the next wave of new technology hitting the Small Office/Home Office environment.
For the home environment, users not only want quick installation but also advanced security options. The 3eTI Model 520 Wireless Gateway comes with three types of firewalls: NAT, DMZ, and TCP Port Filtering. Parents can easily monitor access and restrict predetermined inappropriate websites from being viewed.
Again this year, 3eTI is showing creative solutions made possible by their wireless networking and telematics products at the Fall Comdex Show. This year's demonstration shows SOHO and residential networking configurations including VoIP, fingerprint analysis, and security camera applications. 3eTI will also be demonstrating the Industrialized version of the wireless Gateway, Model 520I for more inhospitable environments.
