CNM Network introduces its Voice Assistant application at Comdex in Las Vegas enabling users, from their desktop, laptop or PDA, to initiate and monitor real-time conference calls between telephony devices such as a business/home telephone or cell phone to anywhere in the world.
CNM will be demonstrating this technology in Microsoft booth No. L4852-181MIC in the central hall.
The company formally ended five years in "stealth mode" when its Voice Assistant application was previewed at the Windows XP launch in New York last month. During Bill Gates' keynote address, CNM's "killer" application was demonstrated which enables intuitive and user-friendly communications solutions for enterprise and consumer users.
"CNM Network applications, such as the CNM Voice Assistant, combine the functionality of the Internet with the quality and security of the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to provide first-ever converged end-user experience," said Charles Rice, president and CEO of CNM Network. "Via CNM's Voice Assistant, enterprise and consumer customers can locate people they wish to call, create on-demand conference calls from anywhere, add callers and manage, in real-time, all their telecommunications needs. This is all accomplished through a single desktop application without having to endure the cumbersome process associated with current conferencing solutions."
CNM Voice Assistant easily integrates with any contact directory database to allow consumers to click a single button, "drag and drop" an email, phone number, messenger icon or the program itself to initiate a conference call.
CNM's Voice Assistant then alerts callees that a specific individual is requesting a conference call. The callee can then choose to accept the call, redirect the call to any telephony device or defer the call to voice mail.
Calls initiated through the CNM Voice Assistant are transmitted through CNM Network's private, "state-of-the-art" 21,000-mile fiber optic network to ensure toll-quality voice communication via any telephony device. Utilizing proprietary technology, CNM offers consumers the highest level of quality and security attainable within a communications network. Additionally, CNM is able to transport voice, video and data at a significantly lower cost and with higher functionality than traditional circuit-switched networks.
