Flying Wireless, Inc. Launches Revolutionary ActiveRunner Service

ActiveRunner Only Service Providing Secure Voice and Mobile Access to Files and E-mail on a Remote PC

November 21, 2001

Flying Wireless, Inc., a leader in voice and mobile applications, today introduced a powerful and revolutionary service that for the first time allows customers to remotely access critical information on their PC, such as e-mail and document files, from any device, including a telephone. This patent-pending new service, called ActiveRunner(TM), uniquely provides a great benefit to users, by allowing people to get what they need using either a voice telephone or the internet, and then do something useful with it: read it, listen to it, download it, or forward it on to another person via e-mail.

Available today, ActiveRunner(TM) (http://www.activerunner.com/) provides low-cost, secure access to a PC from any wireless device or over the telephone by simply calling a toll-free number. ActiveRunner also allows users to listen to and respond to their e-mail over the phone. Pricing starts at only $6.95 per month for the basic service, and only $17.95 per month for the voice service.

This new service will utilize BeVocal's platform to deploy voice-recognition and text-to-speech capabilities. BeVocal, an award-winning provider of voice infrastructure software, applications and services, will power ActiveRunner's remote PC access application, enabling Flying Wireless to deploy, test and run enterprise-level remote access solutions on BeVocal's carrier-grade network. Flying Wireless also gains preferred access to BeVocal's development environment, the BeVocal Cafe (http://cafe.bevocal.com/), which includes advanced performance analysis and diagnostic tools. These resources help developers create and rapidly refine new voice applications.

"We have built one of the most truly innovative and useful services available today by anticipating our users' needs and delivering the best service to enhance their productivity. We are now radically expanding the way people access their PCs and communicate with each other," said Daniel Hoffman, President and CEO of Flying Wireless, Inc. "With BeVocal, we were able to rapidly deploy our voice service on an industry-leading hosted platform. BeVocal allows us to confidently provide a scalable service to a large number of customers. Both business users and consumers now, for the first time, have the ability to interact with their PC and each other the way they want to, whether using voice or the internet in any form, mobile or fixed. Innovative services like ActiveRunner are easy-to-use and soon to be essential to many people's lives." Jeff Anderson, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer added, "ActiveRunner incorporates our patent-pending remote agent technology, which makes it really easy for our customers to remotely access the critical information that they need -- at any time, from any device, including a regular telephone."

ActiveRunner

ActiveRunner(TM) is available starting today at http://www.activerunner.com. People can now use any phone or the Internet, to gain easy and secure access to the information that they need the most: their e-mail and their personal files, already stored on their PC. No server software is required, and no special technical knowledge is necessary.

Once set up, people who use ActiveRunner can easily retrieve files and e-mail from their PC, from anywhere, at any time, using any device they happen to have -- PC browser and internet connection, wireless PDA, WAP enabled telephone, or regular telephone.
