Intermec Technologies Corp. today named Datavision-Prologix of Warminster, Penn., as its launch partner for a new certified partner program designed specifically for companies working with Intermec products integrating into Oracle Corp.'s e-business applications.
The Intermec-sponsored program provides certification, incentives, sales leads and marketing support to companies that use Intermec products to provide proven connectivity solutions to Oracle E-Business Suite customers integrating Oracle's new Mobile Supply Chain Applications and Warehouse Management System.
Datavision-Prologix is a leading systems integrator of enterprise-wide wireless systems, automated data management and mobile computing. Datavision-Prologix has been an Intermec Premier Business Partner for six years, with more than 500 successful wireless installations.
"Datavision-Prologix immediately recognized the strategic importance of this new program. It's this type of vision that characterizes the company's industry leadership," said Intermec Vice President Rod Crane, who leads Intermec channel partner programs.
Because the Oracle E-Business Suite can now tie directly to Intermec mobile devices without the need for middleware, the new program is designed primarily to assist Intermec partner leaders such as Datavision-Prologix who want to offer Oracle customers these new systems.
