New Model from Samsung is America's First GPS Enabled Phone

Best Buy Co., Inc., (NYSE:BBY) the nation's leading retailer of consumer electronics, personal computers, entertainment software and appliances today announced that it will be the exclusive national retailer for the new Sprint PCS wireless phone from Samsung. The model N300 is America's first wireless phone with GPS technology, enabling users to reach destinations more quickly and easily with navigation features such as: traffic reports; driving directions; entertainment and services guide and E911 emergency locater services.

Although location-based and emergency services are not available until 2002, the Samsung N300 has the GPS technology required to support such network-based services when available.

"With this exciting new phone from Sprint and Samsung, we can give consumers a new level of control for staying connected and an ability to access the helpful information they want, no matter where they are."
