Veratium Software Ltd., announced today that it has provided the first practical enterprise wireless software application at COMDEX Fall 2001.

Veratium has teamed with Anycom Inc. at the Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Bluetooth Pavilions to demonstrate wireless access to enterprise data using a Pocket PC. The demonstration is apart of Anycom’s King Bluetooth’s Royal Quest - which sends COMDEX attendees searching for real Bluetooth applications.

Veratium’s flagship product, MOTIVUS Enterprise Server software, provides mobile workers with real-time secure access to the Windows desktop and corporate network using any handheld device. Using MOTIVUS and Anycom’s Bluetooth wireless connectivity solutions, COMDEX attendees in Las Vegas can wirelessly connect their Microsoft powered Pocket PC device to Veratium’s Vancouver, British Columbia office to access the needed files and information for the Quest. They can then print those word files via a wireless printing demo at Anycom’s booth in the Hewlett-Packard Pavilion.

"This combination of software and connectivity demonstrates that practical productivity tools for the mobile workforce have arrived. Veratium’s MOTIVUS product is the first practical wireless enterprise application we’ve seen and we are pleased they are part of our efforts to showcase Bluetooth wireless solutions. Using MOTIVUS software and Anycom’s connectivity, mobile workers have the ability to access all the files that reside on their desktop and corporate network – and can print those Pocket Word and Pocket Excel files," says Randy Henniger, Anycom’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Veratium’s MOTIVUS software will be featured at all the stops throughout the Quest including: the Microsoft Mobile Pavilion, where the Pocket PC 2002 operating system and Anycom’s Wireless Internet Gateway will be viewed; the Hewlett-Packard booth for a wireless printing demo on the HP Inkjet Model 995C Bluetooth-enabled printer; and the final stop, Anycom’s booth in the Bluetooth Pavilion where participants will qualify for their reward, a drawing for a Hewlett Packard Jornada.

"We are pleased to be in such good company and part of a demonstration that truly mobilizes the Windows Desktop. It also showcases Veratium’s ability to provide practical and simple productivity tools to the growing mobile workforce, said Phil Calvin, Veratium’s President and CEO.

MOTIVUS Enterprise Server, version 2.3 deploys to Microsoft® Windows 2000 machines located behind the corporate firewall. This single point of installation eliminates the need to load software on the handheld device or desktop computer. Anyone with an Internet-enabled mobile device can access a live demo of MOTIVUS at www.veratium.com/livedemo
