Brience Licenses Synchrologic Technology to Deliver Anytime Access to Email and PIM Data on Mobile Devices

December 11, 2001

In a partnership that will give mobile workers online or offline access to corporate Email and PIM (calendar, address book, to-do's, notes) information, Synchrologic(TM) today announced that Brience(TM), Inc. will integrate Synchrologic's Email and PIM synchronization technology for handheld devices.

The solution gives Brience customers robust server-based synchronization for Microsoft(R) Exchange and Lotus Domino(TM) to Windows(R) CE, Pocket PC and Palm OS(R) devices.

Brience provides mobile workers with real-time wireless access to enterprise applications, such as corporate email or applications. With Synchrologic's Email and PIM synchronization (www.synchrologic.com/about/about_imobile.html), Brience customers will now have access to corporate Email or PIM information while offline or when out of wireless coverage. The combined solution keeps workers connected to the information they need at all times and improves productivity and customer service.

"Our goal is to provide mobile workers with real benefits and value by extending business processes through the mobile Internet," said Minesh Shah, Director, Marketing and Alliances, Brience. "To complement this goal, we have selected Synchrologic as the expert in mobilizing mission critical business information so that mobile workers have access whether they have wireless coverage or not."

John Dancu, Synchrologic's president and chief operating officer, said: "Together with Brience, we are solving one of the biggest challenges in supporting the mobile workforce--how to optimize the transfer of corporate data whether wireless, wire line, real-time, or synchronized. By offering our Email and PIM synchronization with Brience's solution set, Brience will be able to better meet their customers' needs for wireless productivity."
