GoAmerica's Mobile Office Solution to Empower HP's Business Customers

December 6, 2001

GoAmerica, Inc. (NASDAQ: GOAM) today announced that its award-winning Mobile Office(R) will be included in Hewlett-Packard Company's smart handheld and notebook PC offerings for business customers.

Mobile Office will provide HP customers a single, customizable solution to conduct business wirelessly. During the past year, GoAmerica has collaborated with HP on wireless offerings including Go.Web(TM) service for HP Jornada 540 Series PDAs and HP notebook PCs.

According to the 2001 Wireless Mobile Corporate Survey from Yankee Group, about 50 percent of companies have or will have wireless connectivity within two years, with an additional 26 percent planning to adopt the technology in more than two years. The survey also shows that corporations are more willing to pay for wireless data than in the past.

GoAmerica's Mobile Office, a first-of-its-kind solution for the enterprise, simplifies the wireless landscape by creating a unique wireless environment to securely access e-mail, intranets and the Internet, as well as vital business tools including customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and sales force automation (SFA) applications and data. Customers using Mobile Office are able to open and read e-mail attachments, access mission-critical documents and files for quick delivery via fax and e-mail and access corporate e-mail and group applications, such as Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino. Mobile Office is powered by GoAmerica's Go.Web technology, which compresses, encrypts and optimizes data for transfer to wireless devices.

"We are pleased to expand our relationship with HP," said MaryAnn O'Brien, vice president of strategic alliances for GoAmerica. "HP is a strong ally of ours in providing wireless data to today's businesses. We are proud that they have decided to use Mobile Office as a solution for their customers."

"Now HP business customers can have mobile access to vital information and applications using their HP Jornadas and notebook PCs," said Pendy Pendyala, general manager, HP Wireless and Internet Solutions Division. "HP is committed to offering its customers mobility solutions that enable easy, secure and quick access and manageability of information, and we are pleased to be working with GoAmerica to deliver on this goal."

Mobile Office from HP is available immediately.
