Invisix™, a mobile wireless systems integrator jointly owned by Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced an agreement with Xora, Inc., a company that empowers the mobile workforce by providing wireless voice and data access to enterprise applications, to provide Xora's wireless enterprise solution to corporate and mobile operator customers.
"By working with Xora, Invisix will enable carriers to offer wireless data and voice access to back-office enterprise applications. In addition, Invisix will utilize Xora technology directly with enterprises that want to wirelessly enable their business systems. This solution will help carriers attract and retain their high margin enterprise customers," said Yuval Bloch, president and general manager of Invisix.
"The Invisix/Xora solution will provide tremendous value for telcos, wireless carriers and their enterprise customers. Our solution can help to deliver rapid return on investment for enterprises, by providing mobile access to legacy applications. Experience to date has shown that a return on investment can be realized in less than 90 days," said Sanjay Shirole, CEO of Xora.
Invisix provides wireless application testing, validation and integration deployment for both carriers and developers at its three global Centres of Excellence (CoE) in Beijing; Stockley Park, UK; and San Jose, Calif. Invisix also provides on-site consultation and referrals to the CoE's at its field offices, or Competency Centres, located in Tokyo; Ft. Worth, Texas; Chicago, Ill.; the Philippines; and a recently announced additional center planned for Jaguariuna, Brazil.
Xora offers a software platform that extends the reach of enterprise applications to allow access by employees through most mobile devices including WAP Browsers on cell phones, PDA's running Palm OS or Pocket PC, Web browser and speech recognition by landline or cell phones. Xora has developed pre-built connectors for many of the major enterprise software applications including Oracle, Siebel, Clarify, and i2, as well as access to groupware including Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes. Through the use of these pre-built connectors, Xora is able to enable an enterprise application trial in less than seven days.
