MobileSys MX technology to deliver essential business information to mobile employees

MobileSys, Inc., the leading global wireless infrastructure provider, today announced the integration of its MobileSys MX(TM) software with Siebel 7 to enable Siebel Wireless Messaging. Siebel 7 is the seventh major release of Siebel eBusiness Applications software from Siebel Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq: SEBL), the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software. Siebel Wireless Messaging is a new component of Siebel 7 that allows Siebel Systems customers to enable mobile employees, partners, and customers to receive guaranteed, real-time updates of key information such as escalations, account status, service updates, major purchases, new leads, and other mission-critical information.

Siebel 7 allows organizations to manage, synchronize, and coordinate all customer touch points across mission-critical applications such as sales force automation, field service, customer relationship management, and employee resource management. As events occur within these applications, the mobile employee can automatically receive real-time alerts through Siebel Wireless Messaging on virtually any mobile phone, personal digital assistant (PDA), or pager.

"MobileSys and Siebel Systems are offering enterprise users an easy, integrated reliable way to increase employee and partner effectiveness and customer satisfaction through real-time wireless messaging of sales, service and marketing information," said Brian Stone, Director Product Marketing, Mobile Solutions, Siebel Systems.

Siebel Wireless Messaging customers have the option of connecting to the MobileSys Network, which simplifies the delivery of wireless messages by providing a single connection point to hundreds of wireless carriers around the globe. The MobileSys Network offers secure and direct mobile communications by bypassing the public Internet gateway.

"Siebel 7 delivers a true multi-channel eBusiness suite that will provide significant benefits to our joint customers looking to implement wirelessly-enabled eBusiness applications," said Katherine Stolz, MobileSys Vice President of Product Marketing. "This integrated solution illustrates MobileSys's approach to enabling the wireless enterprise through our best-of-breed channel partners. Our partnership with Siebel Systems offers our joint customers the ability to easily send and receive mobile alerts."

MobileSys MX software is currently validated with Siebel 2000 and is expected to be validated with Siebel 7 in the first calendar quarter of 2002.
