YourMobile Networks, the leading global wireless multimedia provider, today announced it has entered into a three-month promotional service with Canadian specialty channels MuchMusic and MusiquePlus, and Microcell Solutions Inc., to produce, package and deliver special feature ringtones through Fido, Microcell's brand.
Fido customers are now able to purchase and download MuchMusic and MusiquePlus-branded monthly ringtones for their mobile phones at www.fido.ca. The initiative is the most significant in the Canadian market to date that uses major music brands to deliver personalized ringtones to consumers with the participation of a major wireless service provider.

"Through this trial, we will be recommending which artists' ringtones to feature on the Fido site, as well as providing related artist information. YourMobile was a logical partner for us to work with, as they already have established relationships with the major record labels to legitimately secure the most current versions of ringtones."
Fido's website, www.fido.ca, will offer a new ringtone for purchase each month from a featured MuchMusic and/or MusiquePlus recording artist. MuchMusic, owned by CHUM Limited, and MusiquePlus, co-owned by CHUM Limited and Astral Media, are the dominant music video cable channels in English and French Canada respectively, with a combined audience of 9.2 million. Fido brand has more than 1.1 million Canadian wireless customers.
YourMobile ringtones and graphics logos are internationally distributed by its www.yourmobile.com worldwide network of sites, and via its white label service partners -- including many of the world's leading wireless and media companies, such as Cingular, Sony, Voicestream, BT Cellnet, Midwest Wireless, InfoSpace, Mobileway, Info2cell, News Corporation, Austereo, Fanscape, Chaos Music, and others.
