Kronos Introduces Workforce MobileTime

Support for PDAs Accommodates Mobile, Geographically Dispersed Workers; Enhances Management of Labor Resources Across the Enterprise

January 9, 2002

Kronos(R) Incorporated (Nasdaq: KRON), the leading provider of frontline labor management solutions, today announced immediate availability of Workforce MobileTime(TM), an interaction method that supports personal digital assistants (PDAs) and offers Kronos customers another option for capturing valuable labor data from employees. Workforce MobileTime simplifies labor data collection from remote workers.

"Kronos is committed to reaching every type of worker regardless of job type, work preference or location," said Mark S. Ain, Kronos' chief executive officer. "With Workforce MobileTime, we are breaking down the distance barrier by allowing organizations to capitalize on the powerful functionality offered within handheld devices, while providing wider access to our innovative frontline labor management solutions."

Historically, remote workers logged their time data with paper and pen, which a supervisor hand-delivered back to home base for payroll processing. With access to frontline labor management functionality embedded into handheld devices these workers can now quickly and efficiently enter their labor against project codes or cost centers, giving frontline managers increased insight regarding the status of work orders.

Workforce MobileTime, which is currently available, is designed for use with the Web-based version of Kronos' Workforce Central(TM) suite of frontline labor management products. Using Workforce MobileTime, employees or supervisors can access the Kronos application via a PDA device that supports the Palm OS platform, including the Symbol SPT 1500 and SPT 1700. Kronos also offers Kronos iSeries MobileTime designed for use with Kronos' iSeries Central suite.
