Siemens adopts In-Fusio’s ExEn® gaming engine for its SL42 mobile phone.

January 8, 2002

Siemens launched SL42 mobile phone with In-Fusio’s ExEn download gaming engine.

Siemens has become the sixth manufacturer to implement ExEn in its handsets. Launched by D2 Vodafone, the very aesthetic SL42 has integrated the ExEn-based D2_Load-A-Game offer, a catalogue of downloadable and renewable games. Developed by In-Fusio, ExEn allows users to download complete video games into their handsets over-the-air. It increases the performances of games, runs over existing GSM networks and allows operators to bill customers with their existing equipment.

For Gilles Raymond, In-Fusio’s CEO and founder: "It is a milestone for In-Fusio that Europe’s second manufacturer has adopted ExEn on its SL42. We federate more and more manufacturers as well as operators worldwide. Six months after the launch with the two major operators D2 Vodafone and Orange France, the success in terms of revenues and players is a reality. Mobile users pay if they are offered compelling games, based on an efficient technology."
