Webraska's multimodal street level directions and nearest facility location services will be tested by T-Mobil in Germany.

Paris, March 30, 1999 - Webraska Mobile Technologies SA, the first company specialised in real-time value-added services that combine Internet + Mobility + Cartography, is pleased to announce that it has been selected by T-Mobil in Germany to participate in a pilot of Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) services.

Webraska?s services, which will be tested by T-Mobil, include street by street directions by car or by foot, and will locate the nearest restaurant or hotel from any position entered using the telephone keypad. Based on TeleAtlas digital maps, these innovative services are now being tested for the cities of Hannover and Düsseldorf, and will be extended to cover Germany?s 50 major metropolitan areas during the next few months. The nearest location will also include gas stations, parking, post offices, hospitals, etc.

"Our services have been tested by SFR subscribers in France, and were consistently among the most popular," explains Jean-Michel Durocher, Webraska's president. "We are very excited to work with T-Mobil in bringing these services to Germany. We are taking a very important second step towards our goal of having a truly pan European service. This will benefit T-D1 subscribers, who will be able obtain directions and maps from anywhere at home as well as when travelling abroad."

Webraska’s services also include address to address subway directions in Paris and real-time maps showing road conditions directly on the screen of the mobile phone. They are offered from its powerful map servers supporting interconnected multi-layer network optimisation and whose modular design make it possible to serve millions of subscribers.
