The WAP Forum includes wireless industry leaders such as Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola and Phone.com. WAP is the de-facto worldwide standard for providing Internet communications and advanced data services on digital mobile phones, pagers, personal digital assistants and other wireless devices.
Diversinet intends to work closely with the WAP Forum and the WAP Security Group to create its standards-based security solutions developed in an open forum as the marketplace has come to expect. The company is one of the first WAP Forum members to provide security solutions based on PKI (public key infrastructure) technology.
Diversinet helps make wireless e-commerce a reality by providing client/server security software optimized for critical applications, such as banking, stock trading, retail purchases, discount coupons and promotions.
