LogonHealth Corporation Develops First Wireless Virtual Prescription Pad Application for Palm VII

LogonHealth's Prescription Center 1.0 to use handheld wireless technology creating direct, wireless mobile access between physicians and pharmacies

LogonHealth, a comprehensive healthcare destination for consumers, doctors, pharmacists and managed care organizations, has announced the release of Prescription Center 1.0 utilizing the first wireless mobile Palm VII software application which allows doctors to prescribe medication and conduct research via 3Com Corp.'s (NASDAQ: COMS - news) new Palm VII product and the Internet. E-prescription center is a platform independent application, which is fully integrated with LogonHealth's web-based system.

With LogonHealth's Prescription Center 1.0 application, physicians can write prescriptions and access vital patient information as well as reference materials. Health professionals can carry their ``virtual office'' with them and wirelessly send all prescription information. All information is then sent via the LogonHealth Website to the pharmacy. The information will be processed through LogonHealth's secured system with both patient and doctor records being updated in real time. Furthermore, the system provides the physician with the ability to check plan-specific formularies, drug-drug and drug allergy interactions as well as duplicate therapies.

``This application will enable health professionals, through the convenience of the Internet, to move toward a faster, more accurate form of patient care,'' said Raj Agarwal, founder and president of LogonHealth. ``The Prescription Center will provide benefits not just to the consumer and physician, but also for the pharmacies and managed care organizations.

'' Unlike other current handheld applications, the e-prescription system will eliminate time-consuming phone calls between medical offices, pharmacies and managed care organizations as well as unnecessary paperwork.

The Prescription Center software enables users to write prescriptions, request refills and view, as well as collect, pertinent patient information. The Prescription Center will be available on LogonHealth's main system, a Web-based application, allowing independent access to the network via the Palm VII, desktop or laptop computers. Access to this network will require logon name and password and only operate through the use of a secured browser.

LogonHealth is a comprehensive healthcare destination that enables consumers, doctors, pharmacists and managed care organizations to securely, efficiently and conveniently conduct business, all with the ease of the Internet. Their mission is to create an Internet health destination of choice for consumers and other healthcare participants. The company is currently headquartered in Randolph, NJ. Other members of the LogonHealth management team and board include former or current executives of major pharmaceutical companies, managed care organizations, healthcare content providers and Internet consulting companies.
