QUALCOMM to Acquire Assets of Simac Combined Expertise to Bring Mobile Communications to European Market

QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced that it has acquired various assets of Simac Mobile Solutions bv, Triptech International bv, Simac Techniq Ltd, and Simac Technic NV, located in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. As part of the acquisition, Simac Mobile Solutions’ workforce, including engineering, administration and management, will transfer to QUALCOMM Netherlands bv.

Developer of Logiq™ Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) and Logic Mobile Digital Assistant, Simac Mobile Solutions is the market leader of modular on-board computer systems for companies with field staff. The Logiq family of on-board computers is specially designed for vehicle applications and mobile workers where real-time communication between the field and homebase is required.
