Hi,
Wap stack has 5 layers in the following order:
Application Layer
Session Layer
Transaction Layer
Security Layer
Transport Layer
Below this transport layer there will be one bearer layer which could be GSM,GPRS, IP or few others.
Out of five layers barring application layer you have 8 combinations.
i.e., u can have ur wap stack running with session and transport layer,
or transaction and Transport layer etc.,
Security is for additional security.
Even more can be added to this. But always u can read the specifications.
