How can I connect my WAP Site to ODBC enabled Database

Dear all,
We are to develop a WAP service that must be connected to Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, so can I connect the WAP application to this Database as we do in CGI applications or can I use the same IIS application (CGI Application) to get and do transactions on the databases fromthe WAP Site.
