WAP is independent of the transport being used. SMS is known for the messaging application, but can also be used as a transport mechanism for applications. WAP implements SMS as one of several alternative transportation mechanisms.

: Can someone explain to me how to run WAP on SMS, as I saw it mentioned a number of times. I thought SMS is a messaging protocol and WAP is more than just that. Do I miss something? Thanx!
