Hi! Thank for the info. Also wondering is there any future in using PDAs for wireless e-commerce?The PalmVII seems to have set a watershed, but its small capacity and network coverage seems to limit its abilities. People seem to want to settle on mobile phones to do wireless e-commerce then using a PDA?

: : Hi, was wondering what the potential of wireless electronic commerce would be. Has it really caught on in the industry? Where can I find some resource?
: : Thanks!

: I expect mobile commerce to start growing within a couple of years.
: I believe that WAP and GPRS will be the key enabling technologies for wireless commerce.
: WAP is being introduced this year, and GPRS will come into operation into some networks next year.
: There are still some missing links within WAP regarding wireless commerce, but I believe this will be improved next year.
: With a growing base of WAP terminals, and better WAP commerce technologies, I believe that wireless commerce has a bright future.

: While we are waiting for WAP solutions, you will see some solutions based on SIM Tool Kit.
: SIM Tool Kit (STK) is based on the GSM SIM card.
: The weekness of STK is to much operator controll, which will give a limited growth.
: With WAP everyone can develop commerce solutions, giving a higher growth

: One source of wireless commerce is the mobile commerce forum, http://global.mobilecommerce.com/, which was formed by Logica and Cellnet.
: Beyond that, watch the wap development.
