: Hi Tore!

: Your name sounds very danish, are you...?

Close, I'm norwegian

: I wrote a letter to admin, if it is also you I apoligize to this, but I would like to hear your opionien about what companies that will benefit most from the WAP revolution in the coming years?

I got your mail, but thank you for using the discussion forum, then others can read our discussion.

: The reason I am asking is I want to invest a bit of my savings in Wap related companies, if it is listed on a stock exchange. Thanks in advance for your kind reply.

There is a lot of WAP activities now, when i started this site one year ago, the attention was low, but now WAP has become hot.

Then the question of where to invest.

The big money are to be found in startups, but 9 of 10 startups will fail, so it's a risky investment.
Exsisting businesses who will benefit from WAP:
- Terminal vendors will sell even more terminals
(you have to throw away your old terminal and buy a new one, then you get GPRS and Bluetooth, then UMTS, ....)
So the terminal business will be a nice business for a long time
- Then you have Phone.com. I have known Phone.com since WAP was launced 2 years ago, and they have been doing a good job,
but at the same time they are playing with the big guys, so there is risk involved
- Intranets will become wireless, and everyone delivering intranet solutions will have a lot to do
- Internet consulting companies will appear as WAP experts, telling how good they are, and earn a lot of money
- Portals will develop wap access to their portals
- Startups will start new innovative projects wich will create new fortunes

The opportunities are big in many areas.
I am not able to identify the perfect investment,
if I was able to do that, I would have sold my computer, invested all my money, and waited for the big money to arrive in my bank account

Tore
