I am a developer and looking to provide WAP based simple content delivery. My question is that do I really need a WAP Gateway? Since all Telecom Companies that offer mobile web access (like SPRINT) already have a Gateway so in effect all I really need is a webserver with the mime types setup right?
Why on earth would anyone ever need a gateway to deliver content since all Telecom companies offering webservices implement their own Gateways?
Am I missing something? I bet I am. Can you explain PLEASE!!!
